Advances in technology result in a constant stream of new devices that come in to the market. These  devices are a product of the requirements for ease of use, improved efficiency and  cost reduction. A typical corollary to new product releases is to have these products integrate with existing computer systems and low cost peripheral devices.

Technologies & Platforms
Java/J2ME Microsoft .Net XML/SOAP
C/ C++  Windows Mobile Symbian
VC++ / C# IPv6

Shreem has a team of computer engineers that provide custom middleware solutions to solve issues of interfacing new and custom devices to existing computer systems. Our development teams are well versed with latest middleware platforms and can provide you an optimum solution that will significantly increase your Return of Investment. The following case provides a good example of Shreem Middleware solutions is your partner for custom middleware solutions.

Problem - A leading manufacturer of underwater Remotely operated Vehicles (ROVs) had been facing software related problems with their products. Their ROVs had an attached camera and were used for deep sea surveillance by companies involved in marine exploration. ROVs had a depth rating of up to 2000 Feet (650 meters) and were attached by an umbilical cable to the ship above. Signal degradation  in the connecting cable would cause lag in sending commands and receiving feedback from the ROV.  Another user complaint, was the limited mobility of the camera on board the ROV. In the event of big pan of the ocean floor , the ROV had to move along with the camera and could not be stationary. The third problem related to the ROV was the equipment used to control the ROV from the ship was proprietary, complex and expensive.

Solution - Shreem team of engineers built a custom middleware that worked between the control ship and the ROV. The middleware compensated for the signal degradation and ensured that the lag between the ROV and the ship was significantly reduced. The middleware worked with the on board camera and ensured that the camera can operated on a 3 dimensional basis, thus significantly increasing the maneuverability of the camera. The middleware was based on an open platform allowing any kind of camera to be used on the ROV. The middleware also supported commonly available joysticks to control the ROV, thus significantly reducing the  total cost of ownership of the ROV.

We will be happy to work with you and provide the optimum middleware solutions for you. Please feel free to contact Madan Chaukulkar at (703) 322 9614 or send an email to madan.chaukulkar@shreem.com to discuss your custom middleware requirements.
